"The Lowcountry Africana Web site will launch this Saturday with
groundbreaking research on genealogies of slaves on Drayton family
plantations in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas and Barbados.
"Researchers from the University of South Florida Africana Heritage
Project and descendants of slaves who lived on the plantations
collaborated to compile and interpret the records. The Magnolia
Plantation Foundation of Charleston, SC, sponsored the project and
free genealogy wiki WeRelate.org helped develop the site."
