Many immigrants did. Churches in large cities where many immigrants settled
as well as some smaller places. Interestingly enough many Banaters settled
in Ohio. Cleveland has many beautiful churches built there as does
Cincinnati. Here in my hometown of Mansfield Ohio, St. Peter's Catholic
Church rivals if not surpasses many I saw in Europe, Canada and Mexico.
Mansfield is a small city now, a town when the many Banaters settled here.

in North America but they are only in the bigger centres whereas even the
smallest village in the Banat (which usually had the least to give) had a
spectacular place of worship. I just thought that the immigrants would have
created more of the same. Some do, when you look at the Russian Cathedrals
or Sikh Temples even in some of the smaller towns. Why did the Catholic
immigrants not build Churches like they did in the homeland.
