I know some people get upset when they see lots of postings about food.
They want names,dates, etc. But I think the food is the heart of learning
about your family. It was the time when all came together and I'm thinking
was the fruit of the work of the entire family from the growing, tending of
fruits and vegetables, to the making of the flour and then to the breads,
cakes etc. It was a central part of their lives -- didn't just have a
corner store to run down to. And then, of course, the families ate their
dinner together. I just love it when the talk turns to food! Susan
