I was told by the Ingrisch relatives [who still live in Timisoara today], that they had to 'buy' back their house/property back from the government. Why do you suppose that is?

Thank you for the good news. I believe the RO-Donauschwaben, were allowed
to claim it in 1980's. I remember my parents received some money, about
($1.50). This was paid by the German government not the Romanian.
