Hello,

I need to thank you all for sharing all this great information -- this brings
back memories of the treats Oma served on Sundays.

By way of introduction, my family is in Chicago, southwestern Michigan and
Canada. We used to be very active in the Chicago DS community.

My great-great-uncle Johann MOHLER wrote the familienbuch for LIEBLING,
Romania. Our other families there are ROTH and SCHLARP. My mother's side comes
from Vrsac (WERSCHETZ), Serbia. Family names are BEHR and REITER. (My wife's
families are YUNGER and BURKHALTER, from not-so-distant ZEGED, Hungary.)

As a suggestion from only one humble reader, it might improve the list if
writers quoted only the material they are specifically answering. As it is, the
same information gets rerun numerous times and drowns out the new points that
people are making. Especially if you subscribe to both lists and receive a
lot of e-mail already, this can be burdensome to wade through -- and after a
while, I wonder if it scares some potential contributors away. But this is not a
criticism, I'm only trying to be helpful!
