>From Bayonne [NJ] Old and New by Gladys Mellor Sinclair, published in 1940, I
noted the following.

James J. Donovan was the mayor of Bayonne that year, 1940. This man won the
Croix de Guerre for bravery in World War I and was also cited for bravery by
the Italian government.

A list of those who "made the supreme sacrifice" in World War I included
Dennis F. Donovan.

Also, "Mrs. Catherine Donovan has lived at 53 East Thirty-Third Street for 67
years."

Hope these little tidbits prove helpful to someone. Good hunting and Happy
New Year!

Susan
