Subject: Dorset Geography Question

Does anyone know if there is, or ever was an area
in Dorset known as 'Orton' ?
My father's first name is Orton, and he was told
that he was named after the area in England that
our ancestors emmigrated from. I have since traced
my ancestors back to Dorset, however I have been
unable to locate any place referred to as 'Orton'.
I have seen several towns in other English counties
called Orton, or with Orton in the name, but none
in Dorset.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
