Subject: Middle Chase near Sixpenny Handley

I failed to keep the message but someone recently asked about the
whereabouts of Sixpenny Handley and Middle Chase and seemed to have found
Sixpenny Handley but not Middle Chase. Well I dug out a copy of a
Ordnance Survey map from the One-Inch Series published in 1963, No. 167
that includes Salisbury, Amesbury and nearby territory. Sixpenny Handley
is off the bottom of the sheet but Middle Chase Farm can be found on this
sheet about two thirds of the way down the road from Broad Chalke to
Sixpenny Handley. Middle Chase Farm also lies within Wiltshire, about
half a mile north of the line that divides Wiltshire from Dorset.
