Hi Ian,

My gg grandmother was Sarah WELCH, born about 1816 in Bridport, died October
1882, also Bridport, married Edmund William BROOKS, Symondsbury 1835.

I have no other information on her or her parents.

Not sure if there's a connection with your George WELCH?

I've just signed up to this list and was wondering if anyone out there
knows a source for births/burials in Bridport. I am searching for details
on a George WELCH (born in Bridport, died in Cardiff in 1919) who married
Mary Ann Caple (1876-1950, origina unknown) and his father (again George,
who is reported to have lived in Bridport all his life).
