This branch of family was from Bournemouth. My G. Grandfather was a
Master Builder and built the house he and his family lived in at 169
Windham Road Boscombe, Bournemouth. His name was William Charles V. and
he had a son Alfred Charles and daughter Margaret. Alfred C. V was born
in 1872. No b.date for Margaret but she was younger. Anyone know
anything about these folks? Alfred C. married Beatrice ANna Green of
Charminster, Dorset and they had 7 children. Apparently Alfred C. had 2
female cousins who did degree courses at Oxford in the days before women
were allowed to have such conferred upon them. They had lived in
Bornemouth and later taught in Winchester at King Alfred Treacher
Training College, there. Apparently, in the early 1960's there was a
mayor of Bournemouth named Vatcher who it is believed is related. In a
letter from a now deceased Aunt, she states that she believes that all
the Vatchers (spelled with a T in the middle) who live in Bournemouth,
are of her Grandfather's family and therefore mine.

If anyone knows anything about these Bournemouth Vatchers, we'd love to
hear especiallyhow to contact them.

Many thanks.
