Hi there
Can SKS please help out my inlaws with a very solid brick wall. The person
we cannot find is my motherinlaw's grandmother, Martha (H)Ellen West
HENNING. This is the info that we have:
Martha m Richard SHEPPARD in London 16/06/1878 (of full age), father
William HENNING

(1881) age given as 26, and born in Kinson Dorset.

Known sisters: Catherine, Sarah and CHarlotte. Charlotte on 1881 census
with Martha age 20 born Kinson.(full name Charlotte Eliza West HENNING).

Death cert of Catherine wife of William HENNING, died 20/07/1880 age 61 in
Cudnall Kinson: informant Charlotte HENNING daughter.

Problems: Can not find any birth record of Martha (or Charlotte)
Question: Were they registered under different names?
Solution: Found a Mary HENNING GRO Dec1854 Wimbourne 5a 254
Emily HENNING GRO Jun1860 Wimbourne 5a 266..could SKS look through
Kinson registers for these quarters to check parents...or chat up nice
registrar in Wimbourne???
Is William and Catherine in Dorset in 1851(having heard that this is
indexed)? There is a hot rumour of an Irish connection...the worry is that
the family were travellers, and could have been anywhere!
