Nat Orchard - occupation, carpenter (journeyman)
Nat was born on March 20 1856 at East street Lane in Blandford, Dorset. His
father, William Orchard was a plasterer and his mother was Jane Orchard
formerly Shave.
Nat married Mary Matthews, spinster, on June 9 1881. Mary's father was George
Robert Matthews who was a cook.
George Orchard was a son of Nat and was born on November 28 1886 at the
Tabernacle in Blandford where Mary was resident. George was a munition
worker.
He married Charlotte Talboys, widow, on June 2 1919. Charlotte's maiden name
was Sweetapple and her father was William Edward Sweetapple. The wedding took
place at the Register Office in Poole, Dorset.
I would appreciate help in expanding the above information from any of the
listers who may have an interest in the above names.
Also, does anyone know what the initials U S D under The Tabernacle Blandford
could mean?
Many thanks and kind regards
Ken Orchard in Sharnbrook, Bedford UK
