There is a new book, about to be published (it was advertised in a local paper), detailing the local history of STOURTON CAUNDLE. It contains old photographs, including CHALDICOTTS shop, BRUNSELLS farm and the STOKES sisters.
I quote, "The book of Stourton Caundle-Heart of the Blackmore Vale will be published as a limited subscriber edition in November. An order can be placed by calling ........", unquote.
I'm not sure what it means by "a limited subscriber edition", but I have the number off-list for anyone interested (no address, I'm afraid).

Please note that I am unsubscribing from Saturday for one week as I am going on holiday.
