Hello Listers,

Henry Goddard of Bridport built the Hardy Monument on Black Down near Portesham. I think Henry is listed in the 1830 Pigot's Directory for Dorset - and so is Thomas Ash.

Would anyone be able to tell me the relationship between the two men, or their businesses? I am curious because Henry Goddard named his son - Thomas Ash Goddard!

Could you shed any light please?
