Hello - my husband's family settled in Newfoundland. I am trying to
trace back to England the family of Caleb or Jacob Barrett - they were
fishermen and settled in Newfoundland end of 1700's early 1800's and I
understand from the elder family members that they thought the family
came from Dorset area of England. Do these names sound familiar to
anyone on the list?
