A list of alehouse licences published in 1620 giving Dorset Alehouse
Licences 1617-1620; the originals are apparantly with the muniments of the
House of Lords and the information was submitted to SDNQs by George
Fry. Apparantly the extract below comes from the oly complete section of
the book - "mutilated the first seven leaves and other leaves wanting".
Spellings as given so use your imagination ( Podleton would be Puddltetown
for example, ) . Summary only given. In date order as given - not quite
chronological!

I hope that maybe someone will find something of interest here. The Dorset
Record Office has lots of Alehouse Licence indexes on its shelves - I don't
know if these are included in them.
