Interesting.....I've come across this sort of thing before!
1) - Were you declared "both of this parish?
2) - Were you both over 21 (or 18 as the case may be)?
3) - If not, did you have your parents' consent, and where is the document
to prove it?
4) - Can you justify your dates of birth? Certificates, bishop's transcripts
etc...?
5) - Failing coherent answers to the above, I will have to look up the date
of birth of the 1st child, hoping & praying it was in the same parish!

Fortunately, Helen, you will leave a very complete family tree, plus all
the explications, to your children who will not be confronted with all the
(fascinating?) chores that our own ancestors have left us - which in my case
is all they ever left me so no good me looking for wills etc.!

Even the most serious lists must have "time out" for a smile. No?
