Once again Somerset crosses the border to Dorset.
I discovered today that my Gt Uncle (from Cranmore in Somerset) served in 6th Bn The Dorset Regiment and died on 8th October 1918. (Info from CWGC Site) He is buried in Cologne.
I am trying to discover where 6th Dorset Regt were at this time. The Armistice was not to be signed for another month and I suspect, from info on the CWGC Site, that he died elsewhere and was buried later in Cologne.
Are there any ex Dorsets who can help, please.
