Two things come to mind immediately - firstly you have a wise daughter,
"certificates for everyone in her tree" sounds good - (and get them before
the rules change too!) - although I can't comment on the bit about mum
paying! <grin>
More importantly though, I see no mention of you searching for a death of a
William Thomas CHICK. It would appear quite possible that William Thomas
died in infancy, and his younger brother was named William Charles to
perpetuate the name William - a not uncommon occurrence in the 19th-century.
If a death search fails I can see nothing for it but to fork out for another
certificate for your daughter - make it part of her Christmas present
perhaps!! <grin>
