Hi Marie,
You have some name which do not link up yet but I feel sure that the MEECH
name is not very often met, therefore, I am working on the premise that
there must be a link somewhere!
The MEECH name often appears in the Portsmouth and Isle of Wight area in the
19th century. This family seem to have moved to Steyning in Sussex. We
have members of our tree in Portsmouth and Sussex, but not until later in
the 20th century.
The base from which we are working comes from 1770s in the Bridport area of
Dorset. I would be very interested to have any information you have
regarding MEECH as there may be a link found in the future. I will try to
get the information gathered to date copied and sent to you off- list. I do
not think the list would be interested in all the details, unless someone
knows better!
