Thanks for getting in touch.

It is interesting that you have a marriage with both of the names.

I have sent for a copy of their marriage certificate.

The certificate will be sent to my mothers house because I live in France. I
am going on holiday for a week on Saturday so I will not be able to reply to
any messages then.

If I get details from the certificate before Saturday I will contact you.

Thanks for the offer of taking a photo, at the moment I do not have a full
address.

Hi Ian
Your 'Cane - Wimborne' subject heading attracted my attention, as the only
three Canes in Wimborne on the 1881 census are 'mine'.

I do not know of an Elizabeth CANE in my tree, but the Wimborne connection
(also the READ one!) makes me wonder...
If you (or anyone else reading this thread) want any more info about my
CANEs, please ask...

..if you are not local and would like, for
example, present day digital photos of the place or your ancestors' home,
etc., I might be able to help
