The Thorncombe 1861 census shows up on the Archive CD Books DEVON 1861 cd's rather than Dorset.
I think I found your Westford Farm (at RG9 Piece 1371 Folio 128 Page 2 Schedule 7), but there were no BOWDITCH's there. It was the family of Daniel PRIRGEN (thats what it looks like) with wife Sarah, sister Ann and son Frederick.
