Hi John,
I was playing around on the sites and I stumbled across your message about your great uncles. Alfred Duffett RN interested me, as my 'grandfather' - my father's adoptive father - was called Alfred Edward Duffett. I know very little about him, as he died in 1952, before I was born. I believe he was a Lieut Commander.
If they are the same person, that would make us second cousins by marriage!
