Hi Bill,
Could this be Poole Park, a large recreational area of land and water to
the east of the town of Poole. The spelling is a little way off but
fairly good 'sounds like'.
Pronunciation of town is 'pool', not 'pooley', as I once heard a small
boy visitor say.
