Geoff - I could not find anasaria, but did find anasarca:

Anasarca: generalized massive dropsy. See dropsy

Dropsy: A contraction for hydropsy. The presence of anormally large amounts
of fluid. Congestive heart failure.

Hello list,

Can anyone please explain what is "chronic valvular heart disease,
anasaria preportatic congestion of lungs".

It's especially the anasaria preportatic bit that floors my smatterings
of schoolboy latin. I googled to no avail, but I know there are specialised
lists for these ancient medical terms, but I never noted them simply because
I didn't think I would ever need them.

Quite the opposite of my wife who never throws anything away because it
just might come in handy some day. And she is always right!

Geoff
