Subject: [DOR] List of Prisoners Part I

I am currently transcribing the Register of Prisoners for Dorchester and
have completed 1786 - 1800. I thought the names might be of interest to
members of the list but as there are about 300 I will send them in several
emails.
Those in blue were executed. Those in red were transported. Not all were
found guilty of the crimes and there were a number of deserters. Not all
the prisoners came from Dorset - but the majority did. As many of them were

tried at the Assizes they were brought from all parts of the County to be
tried in Dorchester.
If you find a name that interests you please let me know and I will give you

the details of their case.
