Mary Ella Johnson Mrs. Mary Ella (Zbitnoff, Strelioff) Johnson passed away on Friday, February 10, 2006, age 97. Mary leaves to mourn her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, George Johnson; grandchildren, Donna (Conrad) Mitzel, Robert G. (Brenda) Strelioff, Gale (David) Sykora, Lesley (Todd) Carlson, Marilyn Strelioff; great-grandchildren, Tanya and Nicole Mitzel, Marisha and Evan Sykora, Cole and Ryan Carlson; daughter-in-law, Isabelle Strelioff; sister, Margaret Lahti; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Robert E. Strelioff; parents, Eli and Masha Zbitnoff; and sisters, Vera Lapp and Anne Post. Mary received her Teacher's Certificate from Moose Jaw Normal School in 1928 and taught for 35 years in pioneer and city settings before superannuating. Mary loved to read, travel, fish, crochet, play solitaire, cribbage, bridge and Kaiser. Her indoor plants and the garden and birds were her passion. She was a very special strong and treasured lady with !
great influence on many people. We love you and miss you Meme! At Mary's request a private memorial was held February 15, 2006, interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt of PARK FUNERAL CHAPEL, 244-2103. Published in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix on 2/24/2006.
