Wanetta,

>I am trying to find information on my grandfather Henry William Walkey

Firstly, you will have more success if you actually subscribe to a mailing
list, rather than just post to it. You see, Rootsweb lists are all
"closed", meaning that only posts from subscribers are distributed to other
subscribers. Your post came only to me, as the list owner.

Secondly, the DPS-SYDNEY list is not the right place for this sort of post
- you should subscribe to, and post to, AUSTRALIA-L. The DPS list is more
for the discussion on applying technology to genealogy, rather than
actually carrying out research.

That said, I can tell you that Henry and Mary were married in 1863 at
Patricks Plain, a small settlement in the Hunter Valley north of Sydney.
The reference number for the marriage cert is 1863/2681.

Their four children were:

Susan (1865/13657)
William H (1867/14481)
Mary L (1869/16568)
Joseph (1872/15868)

All were registered at Patricks Plain.

There are no WALKEY deaths registered in NSW.

You can get transcripts of the above certificates from Marilyn Rowan at
<>. Cost is AUD12 each, plus AUD1 delivery per
order. Payment by VISA or Mastercard is accepted, and delivery is via email
in .RTF format. All you need to do is email Marilyn and quote the above
reference numbers.
