Kev,

Depends what you want to store and do.

I use and create a number of database programs at work and at home,
including Access and excel which isn't meant to be a full blown database.

There's nothing like a proper genealogy program though.

How about listing what you what to do and there will be plenty of
suggestions for you to select from.
