Hi Michael

There is a book on ship deserters to NSW Ports ( mostly Sydney from
memory) compiled from info culled from the NSW Government Gazettes.
Its to be found in many libraries

Not aware of anything similar for other Stated . The info would be
there in the various State Gov Gazettes though
