Thanks to Judy Rowe for making and publicising this significant discovery:

Hi Everyone

Great news...

I have just been to the NSW BDM site,and guess what, you can now purchase
the certificates direct off the site...Cost $20.00

Go to www.bdm.nsw.gov.au then into the search BDM, once you go into that it
takes you to a new site,after 5 seconds,where you can do the usual look-up
BUT it now has a Shopping trolley at the top and also an Add to Shopping
Trolley beside the names once you have entered your search details.

I entered one to check out what happened and once you click the Add to
Shopping Trolley it then takes you into another screen where it tells you
the cost and if you then continue, you would give your payment details and
they send you out the certificate.

I checked out the Whats New section on the site but no mention of this new
facility...Hope the details above are of help to everyone.

So - it appears that at least the basic discount is still available once
the registers are digitised.

Now - to go to work and see if we can get something like the $13 fee that
the transcribers charge!
