Hi Michael,
I have nothing but praise for Legacy. I've been using it for the past 2
years, both the standard & now the delux version.
When I first started using Legacy, I couldn't believe one could find such a
good program for free.
I have previously used Family Tree Maker, PAF, Brothers Keeper & Cumberland
Family Tree.
I would tend to agree with Phil, and first check it's not your computer
throwing a wobbly.
Or if you've imported the file from another program, perhaps the file is
corrupt.
In Legacy, there is a "File Maitenance" option on the toolbar under "File".
This includes Check & Repair, Master Lists Cleanup & Compact Family File.
However, it sounds more like you're computer throwing a wobbly. I can't
see why Legacy would be crashing so much.
Possibly un-install and re-install Legacy again.
Good luck.
Sherrie.
P.S. With regards to the Legacy stating you're wife is "unknown", check to
make sure you don't have "2" wives attached to you. It could be possible
the 'wife unknown', is checked as the "preferred" wife.
I had this problem once, and it took me hours to figure out! I just
didn't see the obvious in front of me.[grin]
