My ancestor William MOON died age 38 in 1871 in Sydney. It was the result
of a duck shooting accident, wherein he actually killed himself.

I have been fortunate enough to have been provided with information on his
death notices and inquest by a kind lister.

In the notices it revealed that he was a retired Mayor of the Borough of
Waterloo.

I'd dearly love to know where I can find information about him being a
mayor. I have tried google to help but so far nothing has surfaced.

Would there be council records somewhere?
