"Hard-Copies' and than type-in all the information! I am on WEB-TV, a
different system than a regular Computer, which makes it difficult to
Store Info. and process.
If you have been following the messages from Patricia and I, would you

No, our Eliljah's are not the same. Have to go back to your Reddick and my
William, who were brothers. Our lines deviate at that point. Do you have
info back from Reddick? Mine came from Lucille Driver's books.

Hi Patricia
Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure if our Elijahs are one and the
same. I'm quite sure of his date of birth, as I have it listed on
several documents. Plus Florence (My Grandmother), Minnie, Toy, Lillard,
Johnie, and Elijah were all children of James M. Driver born in 1846,
and Arminta Driver born in 1847, all of DeKalb Co.
My Driver Line is this= Florence,= James and Arminta,= John and
Susanna,= Reddick and Polly,= and so on.
What do you think?
Thanks
Larry Gibbs

I am also researching the Drivers in Dekalb Cty., Tn as my father and his
family before him were from that area. My father , Asa Alton Driver, was
born in 1913, and his father Elijah Lee Driver, was born Nov. 23, 1890. My
great grandfather was Asa Doyle Driver, born in 1845, and my gg grandfather
was Asa Driver, born 1812/14. My ggg grandfather was Benjamin Driver, who
was born around 1788 in North Carolina, and came to Tennessee. All of the
above was my own or my brother's research; then I purchased Vol 5 of Lucille
Driver's book, and found that my gggg grandfather was William Driver, born
1755/60, and was a brother to Reddick who according to the book comes on
down to your Florence. So we are cousins! in the 1950's I traveled to
Dekalb County at least one a year with my parents and grandparents to visit
relatives. My father and grandparents moved to Chattanooga, Tn in the late
1930s. I went back to Dekalb Cty. this year after a 30 year absent and
visited cousins, old homesites, graves, etc., and also attended Pisgah
Methodist Church at Hannah's Branch where many of the Drivers worshiped over
the years. Do you know where your grandmother is buried?

Hello All Drivers
Thanks to all the Driver Families on the Driver-L list, I have been able
to trace my Driver Family from Dekalb Co. Tn. back to England.
But you know what I am missing, is any of my present day Driver family.
I wonder if I am the only one that has researched my Driver Family?
My Grandmother, Florence Driver, (Born - 2-21-1873 and died 11-6-1959)
who married my Grandfather John Houston Gibbs in Dekalb Co. Tn. I only
saw one time in my life before she passed away in 1959. I never new any
of the "Driver Family" I was only 13 yers old at the time of her death,
and I just do not remember anyone at her Funeral.
Her siblings were Minnie Driver born-1875
Toy Driver born-1876
Lillard Driver born -1878
Johnie Driver born - 1880
Elijah Driver born 12-20-1883
I don't know who any of her brothers and sisters married or what became
of them!
If any one out there in our Driver List , knows about or has any
information about our family..... please let me know, as I sure would
like to know about any "Driver Cousins"
Thanks
