Family history says the father of Milton Marion Duke was an English sea
captain (merchantman) who settled in the States - New England, possibly ME -
in the late 1700's. The captain was originally a LeDuc, but changed his
name after coming to the States. He is said to have lived to either 102 or
108 years of age, and to have sired 13 children. Milton Marion was the
13th. ANY information on the captain or his family would be great.
