Creetown is a village in its own right, as is Minnigaff. Creetown is midway
between Newton Stewart and Gatehouse of Fleet. Minnigaff is on the opposite
side of the River Cree from Newton Stewart. Just outside Minnigaff is
another village called Creebridge. Whilst Newton Stewart is in Wigtownshire,
Minnigaff, Creebridge and Creetown are all in Kirkcudbrightshire as the
River Cree is the boundary.
