The answer to your question is yes
There is what appears to be a shepherd's cottage up Tynron Glen, slightly
beyond the farm of Strathmilligan. It stands on the Kirkconnell Burn, and
is close to Connell's Well.
St Conal had a lot of places named after him in S W Scotland, so Kirkconnell
is not too unusual as a placename
