wasnt me that sent the info but anyway

there are a very few places in the UK which have earlier censuses that have
survived. These were I think meant just to be headcounts but in some places
the counters (church ministers?), went a bit further.

The Annan ones have survived and are published in a little book. The info is
quite sketchy but you can sometimes recognise your families.

For the record to be transcribed suggests there is an original somewhere. I
think there may be an LDS film too - whether of the original or the little
book I dont know.
