I have just been sent family papers from the UK from my fathers cousin of 94yrs. One says" Our ansester John Thorburn was one of the founding members of the Dumfriesshire and Galloway History and Antiquarian society in 1862, James Fingland in 1893 and 1894 contributed valuable papers (articals) to the society's annual journal". Would anyone know if these are still in existence and how I go about accessing them ?
