I am relatively new to the genealogy game and would appreciate any help whatsoever in tracing the Irving family tree around the Dumfries/Annan area.

So far I have only traced my tree back to my great great grandfather who was called David Irving and born in Middlebie in 1846. His mother was called Christina Irving but I do not know anything more about her and can not trace her. David Irving married Margaret Dixon on 12th June 1874 in the parish of Halfmorton.

I would be very interested to hear from anybody who has or is tracing the Irving family tree or could shed some light on the above.
