Re: Place names -

I have just been given a brand new large detail road atlas of England,
Wales and Scotland (in case I can help anyone let me know), but of all the
names given, I find only these currently listed:
Herts - very likely means Hertfordshire, England
Lochinver - is north of Ullapool on the west coast in the Highlands
Parkhead - there is one in Cumbria, just south of Dumfries & Gal.,
and also one in
Glasgow area
Rosyth - is just at the north end of the Forth road bridge - well,
a wee bit north of that, but
on the M90

As to Drumlanrig, there is a castle by that name, a former village,
and a town called
Holm of Drumlanrig in D&G in the Nithsdale just west of the
A76 and north
of Penpont.

Hope this helps, and that you have luck in finding the rest of them! I
will keep my eyes open too.
