I'm not personally researching Ewes Valley but I happen to be updating the
Publications pages of the Dumfries and Galloway Family History Website at
present -- I'll give notice of when the finished pages are up-loaded.
I note that the following publications on Ewes Valley are already on offer:
The Ewes Valley (and Unthank) Monumental Inscriptions 350g £7.50
Ewes 1841 Census indexed by surname 30g £1.00
See www.dgfsh.org.uk and click the Publications button on the left
navigation bar for full details of all the publications and method of
ordering.
There may be SKS on this List who already has these publications may be able
to do a lookup for you.
Researching JOHNSTONE and variants in the D&G area can be problematic
though without additional information -- some would say you are better off if
you are researching SMITH.

Sandy
