Hi All. I would appreciate if someone could answer two questions. Firstly does anyone know where Stenhouse is or was.
Secondly, was it a custom to, while married and having children with your wife, to have another spouse (probably not married) and have another set of children with her. This second set of 9 children were born interspersed with the other 9 children he had with his wife. One was in Glencairn and one was in Ayr.This was in the 1700 and I was wondering if this was a common or an uncommon event. Thanks a lot for any assistance. Jean Coat
