Hi Listers
I'm new to the DFS list. Here's my interest.
So far I've traced my GGF (Robert MILLER) back to Durisdeer vis the 1851 Census & IGI but I'm having trouble getting back further or finding out what happened to the other members of the family. I have :

Joseph age 45 born IRL Pattern Maker
Sarah 46 "at sea" wife
Robert 19 SCO (Durisdeer) Moulder
Joseph 14 SCO (Durisdeer) Scholar

James 7 CMB (Brampton) Scholar
ex DFS IGI
Joseph MILLER m Sarah ScOTT 26/10/1829 Durisdeer; 1/11/1829 Dumfries
Robert bpt 22/8/1833 Durisdeer
Margaret bpt 9/4/1833 Durisdeer

Any help with furthering my research would be appreciated. The frustrating thing is that we stayed in Maxwelltown (Dumfries) from 1980 to 1984, before we knew of the DFS connection.
