Dear Listers:

I have just joined the list. My interests are DALRYMPLE and KILLOCK.
According to my grandfather's records, John DALRYMPLE married Katharine
KILLOCK (or KELLOCK) on Aug 30th, 1730. This may have been in Thornhill,
Dumfries. Their son, John, was born in 1729 and left Thornhill in 1749.

I have seen reference to Dalrymples in other areas of Scotland, but not in
Thornhill.

If anyone is tracing either of these names or can give me some ideas, I
would appreciate hearing from them.
