Vivian,

When you searched through the Glencairn booklet (excluding Moniaive) for
Upper Ingleston and Lower Ingleston, and the Penninghame booklet for
Drumterlie Cottage, did you notice if these place names were even listed in
the booklets, even though occupied by other families? If not, then these
farms may not have been enumerated for some reason.

It's also possible your Mary Wilson and family were living at another
location during the 1841 Census. If that's the case, then your search has
become even more difficult.

Without county-wide indexes available (to my knowledge) for the 1841 Census,
it is very difficult to track down ancestors during that time. A parish by
parish, film by film, search is extremely time consuming. A 'nod-off' while
turning the viewer wheel - and you may have missed them. That's why I always
got through the films at LEAST twice.

Good luck!

Yours aye,
