Dear Geo Capuano, Australia and list,

I noticed on your introduction to the D-G list that you listed Bell from
Lochmaben as a research area. I too have a connection I cannot trace. Here
is what I have in the BELL information.


James MACPHERSON (B1790? Ireland? D. 9 Oct 1852 age 65 at Edge, Dalton,
DUM)
[MI 58]
and Mary Bell (B 1790? Middlebie, DUM. D. 22 Aug 1864 age 75 at Locharwoods
Cottages, Ruthwell)[MI 58]

1841 Census at Edge in Dalton, DUM - James, Mary, and kids Halbert & Janet
(age 8)
at Hardgrave - Elizabeth as F.S. for Elliot
1851 Census at Edge in Dalton, DUM only James (age 60) and Mary (age 55)
at Hardgrave - Jenny as Dairymaid for Elliot
1861 Census at Nether Locharwoods Cottage in Ruthwell living with daughter
Janet and husband [William Dunbar] and children.

Please let me know if you have any connections to this Mary Bell.
