The priority has always been to record and publish the cemeteries which have
so far not been recorded. Stoneykirk was published last year and we hope to
have Leswalt and Inch out this year. The programme was affected by last
year's Foot and Mouth epidemic, but all that is in the past.

All Dumfriesshire cemeteries have been recorded to some degree or other.
The Nithsdale cemeteries, which were recorded as part of a Youth
Opportunities Programme 30 years ago, are now being checked and corrected as
many mistakes and omissions have been noted over the years. These will be
published at some time but they have not been shelved. Callers to the
DGFHS Shop in Dumfries can look up these indices at any time.

Volunteers to help with this project are always welcome.
