Hi John,
You think JONES in Cornwall is bad, try JONES in Islington London, one
enumeration district.
I might add I did manage to find my Frederick JONES who I had been in hiding
for nearly 20 yrs. He was born in Italy, his father was given as veterinary
surgeon on his marriage cert. so back to finding JONES in military records I
would say.
It was easy to combine those living in a household through the page no. and
the individuals with consecutive Id. nos. without having to pay immediately
for image downloads.
And yes, the error % is very high, one has to have a very imaginative mind
to enter details if not found with the correct spelling. Jones siblings
were born in Penge SRY, on the 1901 it is written as Perge.
Overall, ScotsOrigins had done a wonderful service with their online
facility compared to the English PRO.
