I seem to remember that someone was researching Brownlee. I have just
discovered that my ggrandparents came originally from Ireland, although
their families are thought to come from Scotland and possible south west
Scotland. He was James Brownlee and married Rachel Bell in Salford, England
on 30th April, 1881. I have found a John Brownlee in the D&G Census of 1801,
but otherwise I do not have any trace of the Brownlee name.
If anyone has any information on the name I would appreciate it.
